Back story! (It's a bit rough so bear with me.)Zadana Notya. A rather atypical name for an auri. Born of the tribes, but not raised among them. Her scales were dark at birth, but were already showing odd signs of color changes. Likely abandoned by her tribe, she was found by a wandering adventurer before anything else did. Said adventurer tried a few places to find a home for this tiny auri, finally able to do so far away in Gridania. Under the care of a kind woman, a tavern keep. None of them knew of auri naming conventions, granting her the name Zadana, as her new guardian felt it fit the little scaled one.Growing up adventuring in the woods, she took to the spear early on to defend herself while she explore. Gathering herbs and whatever other people needed, even taking to fighting off a few of the more nasty pests, she grew up fast. It wouldn't be long before she wanted to do more with herself, maybe even find a purpose in life...She tried to sign up with the Wood Wailers, only to be brushed aside time and time again. Every time the grizzled veteran would look at her, practically spitting out the phrase 'Not ya' every time he was picking new recruits. And every time, it rang in her ears like a gong. She had no last name to go on, and her guardian felt she didn't need one. But that phrase stuck in her head...Training herself harder and harder, she began to travel further. She began to train in other methods of combat and defense, finding herself drawn to the arcane. The magical arts easily flowed from her, as if she'd already been practicing. Though she was loathe to give up the spear, she decided that she just needed to train harder. She'd be versed in any weapon to defend herself and those she held dear. To strive and push herself even more, she took up a few crafts as well, namely alchemy, to support herself. It always troubled her, at least in her dreams, that she could have been abandoned because of her scales. For a time, she had managed to alter their color back to a dark hue, but in time they faded. Rather than continue to do that, she embraced it, though she never stopped experimenting with her looks as she found it a bit thrilling, not to mention the applications it could have to help others as well. To this day she toys with her appearance, finding it quite fun to see other's reactions to her looks. And once she felt confident in herself, she went back to Gridania. Not to be a part of the Wood Wailers, no. She was an adventurer, and her real journey began as she sought to grow. To answer the call as a Warrior of Light. Maybe she wouldn't change the whole world, but if she could help even one person, it would be worth it.In her many journeys, she traveled far and wide. Numerous battles and hardships found her pushed to her limits, breaking them again and again to strive and help others. To protect them, to be their shield in their times of need. To the ends of the universe she'd fight if she had to, to make sure there was a tomorrow for others. She discovered so much more about herself too. What she wanted, what she enjoyed, what she sought. Even finding the shattered reflections of herself as the truth of the star was revealed to her, she gave them a home within herself and a physical one at that should they be out and about. It was weird knowing there were versions of her yet discovered, but she was happy to help them all the same.
